City snap up former Pirates midfielder

Polokwane City have completed the signing of discarded Orlando Pirates midfielder Donald Mokondelela.

According to a source close to Rise and Shine, the 25-year-old has signed a three-year contract with the club.

“He did well during training and the coach (Bernard Molekwa) was impressed. They have signed him on a three-year contract and the club will make an announcement soon,” said the source.

Mokondelela joined Pirates from Baroka FC at the beginning of last season, but made only two substitute appearances for Bucs before he was loaned out to Chippa United in January.

He made seven appearances for the Chilli Boys, but Pirates terminated his contract upon his return from loan and now joins City as a free agent.
