City set to offer Majoro a new deal

Cape Town City chairman John Comitis has revealed the club will offer Lehlohonolo Majoro a new contract in January.

Majoro is rumoured to be on his way to SuperSport United to reunite with his former coach Eric Tinkler, but Comitis says that he hopes Majoro extends his stay at City.

“At the moment, he has a one-year contract remaining with us and we would like for him to see it out,” Comitis told Goal.

“He is an integral member of our team, and we will sit down with him in January to discuss a new deal. We hope that he is patient enough to stay with us until the rest of the season.”

Meanwhile, Comitis also revealed that City’s assistant coach Ian Taylor could be on his way to China.

“There is a request for him to go to China and he is carefully considering it. It’s nothing confirmed yet, but if it materialises we will fully support him and not stand in his way,” commented Comitis.
