The top eight competition pays out R8 million rand to the winners on the day.
Comitis confirmed to kickOff that the club plans to reward the players with R4 million rand should they beat Eric Tinkler’s men on Saturday at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
“The coach will make the call,” said Comitis. “But they will take home at least half of the amount.”
Benni McCarthy will look to lead the Citizens to their second trophy in as many seasons. The match is scheduled to kick-off at 20:00 on Saturday.
