Chippa coach still confident of top four finish

Teboho Moloi believes that a top four is still a possibility for his side despite their 4-2 defeat against Orlando Pirates at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Following the Pirates loss, the Chilli Boys are now outside of the top eight with 27 points after 22 games, but the Chippa United coach insists that his side will bounce back.

“I have no doubt we will end the season in the top 8, top four this season. I believe in these players,” Moloi told the club’s website.

“I said the same thing on my arrival and few believed me. The gap between ourselves and teams in the top five, four position is not big.

“The sooner we return to our winning ways the better and we will,” added Moloi.

Moloi was pleased with the effort of the players despite the defeat.

“Who ever thought we will go pound to pound with Orlando Pirates? The players showed character, it’s just few errors and those we will fix ahead of our trip to Cape Town,” he said.

Chippa United will travel to Cape Town on Friday to face Cape Town City.
