Chippa coach apologises to Chiefs

Teboho Moloi has withdrawn his utterances made against Kaizer Chiefs during post-match interviews of the Telkom Last 8 match earlier this month.


“When I played for Orlando Pirates between 1987 and 1992, before Dr Irvin Khoza became the chairman, this is how we used to lose to Kaizer Chiefs,” said Moloi after his team suffered a 1-0 loss to Chiefs at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

In a statement issued by Chippa, Moloi withdrew this comment and apologised to Chiefs.

“I would like to withdraw the comments I made against Kaizer Chiefs in relation to my playing days [for Orlando Pirates between 1987 and 1992]. The statement was made in the heat of the moment,” Moloi is quoted as saying.

Chippa’s next game is against Free State Stars away at Goble Park on Wednesday, November 22.
