According to a source, Celtic supporters were told about the latest development regarding the club sale at a meeting organised by the Siwelele management.
The source says the fans were asked not to reveal what was said in a meeting.
“Fans were told not to speak to the media,” a source told Phakaaathi.
“There was a mention of a Chinese company buying the club, but no proof was shown at the meeting, so for now it is hearsay and a promise of what could happen.
“The sale of the club could still happen but for now there are just suggestions of who could take over and there is no one who has put anything in writing because there was no proof shown to supporters.”
Two supporters’ meeting are scheduled to take place on Sunday and Tuesday before the final announcement are made.
Meanwhile, as reported by Phakaaathi earlier, prominent Bloemfontein businessman and Macufe organiser Ben Moseme is said to be interested in saving Celtic, but some section of the club’s supporters are not fond of the idea.
