Amajita qualified for the Fifa World Cup after reaching the semi-finals of the Caf Under-20 Africa Cup of nations in Zambia.
“I have gathered enough experience to be ready for South Korea. I am delighted to be part of the national team set-up. Being at Chiefs’ development is also a plus to be recognised at the national team level,” Meyiwa told the club’s official website.
Meyiwa, who attracted interest from PSL teams after his fine display at the continental competition for Thabo Senong’s team, says playing at the World Cup won’t be easy, but they will be up for the challenge.
“We know that it is not going to be easy, but we are up to the task. I am back at the club, working hard at training and playing in friendlies, because the MultiChoice Diski Challenge is on recess at the moment.”
