According to PowerFM, Chiefs wanted to accept the offer however Billiat told them that he was not interested in playing football in Egypt.
“Kaizer Chiefs have turned down a R23 million offer from Egyptian giants Zamalek for Khama Billiat. The club was willing to sell as this is the biggest offer they got for Khama, but the player isn’t keen on playing football in Egypt,” stated the report from PowerFM.
Chiefs have already sold Billiat’s fellow country man Teenage Hadebe to Turkish club Yeni Malatyaspor.
It remains to be seen if they will also sell Billiat if an offer from overseas coming before the end of the transfer period.
