Chiefs terminate Jayiya’s contract
Winger Bhongolwethu Jayiya has become the latest player to be released by Kaizer Chiefs.

The club announced on Tuesday that they have parted ways with the former Cape Town City player.
Jayiya becomes the fifth player to be released by Chiefs after the club terminated the contracts of midfielders Hendrick Ekstein, Khotso Malope, striker Gustavo Paez and goalkeeper Virgil Vries.

“Kaizer Chiefs and Bhongolethu Jayiya have agreed to a mutual cessation of their relationship after two seasons. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours,” tweeted Chiefs on Tuesday.
Earlier Phakaaathi reported that sources have claimed that Jayiya is demanding in the region of R3 million from the club to agree to his contract termination.
It is not clear at this stage if Chiefs paid him this amount for his release.
