Chiefs suffer Manyama injury blow

The Kaizer Chiefs forward has been ruled out for up to six weeks with a fractured elbow he sustained in a car crash.

Lebogang Manyama was fortunate to come away from the crash virtually unscathed, as his car was badly damaged during the car accident on Tuesday.

physiotherapist David Milner confirmed on Chiefs official website, “Lebogang Manyama has been ruled out for up to six weeks with a fractured elbow.

“Lebo went through MRI scans yesterday and that revealed a fractured elbow. He will accordingly be treated and be put under a recovery plan.”

Meanwhile, Leonardo Castro and Andriamirado “Dax” Andrianarimanana are still recovering from their respective knocks.

Castro has an ankle injury whereas “Dax” is battling with a calf injury.

In addition, Khama Billiat is a doubtful starter for Sunday’s Telkom Knockout last-16 clash, and is to be assessed after picking up a back injury while on international duty with Zimbabwe.

“Both Castro and Dax are progressively improving. Castro is recovering from an ankle injury, while Dax had a calf strain. Khama has to be assessed for a back injury,” continued the physiotherapist.

Amakhosi are set to host Black Leopards in a Telkom Knockout last-16 match at FNB Stadium on Sunday.
