Chiefs suffer Billiat injury blow

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Khama Billiat is set to miss a few games for Amakhosi while he recovers from an injury.

Billiat got a knock on his pelvic bone during Amakhosi’s 2-1 win against Cape Town City in a league game last week.

In a statement posted on the club’s website, the Chiefs medical team says it is unsure how long it will take for the Chiefs playmaker to return to action.

“He has had a scan done and it is unclear how long he needs to recover at this stage,” read the club statement.

Chiefs have also issued an update on defender Ramahlwe Mphahlele and midfielder Nkosingiphile Ngcobo.

“Mphahlele has had another infiltration into the groin. His pain is subsiding. The good news is that the fullback will start jogging this week

“Ngcobo is another ray of hope coming through with the news that the youngster has started training with the team albeit making no contact yet. The young midfield dynamo is recovering from an Achilles injury picked up last season.”

Chiefs’ next game is against Polokwane City on Saturday, September 14.
