Chiefs need to sign the right players – Nengomasha
It is hard for a team to win trophies when they don’t have the right players, says former Kaizer Chiefs midfield maestro Tinashe Nengomasha.

Nengomasha believes one of the reasons Amakhosi have failed to lift trophies like they used to back in the days is because of not having the right players.
The Chiefs legend, however, hopes that the current crop of players will try to win the Nedbank Cup.
“You have to look for the right brand of players to win you trophies, you can bring any coach and all of that, but if you don’t have the right ingredients for the coach to use you won’t be able to win anything,” said the Chiefs legend.
“I hope they get something out of the material they have at the moment and go all the way to win the Nedbank Cup. But I think going into the near future, they need to get the right players for the team to win silverware.”
Nengomasha added that Mamelodi Sundowns also went through what Chiefs is going through, but they got it right when they brought in Pitso Mosimane and he assembled a right squad for the team.
He says another thing that works is promoting youngsters and loaning them out to National First Division teams like what Sundowns did with Percy Tau.
“It happened at Sundowns, there was a time when they didn’t have the right players, and came in Pitso Mosimane he managed to change everything. The set-up of players, promoting players from the development and loaning them out and bring him back. Percy Tau was loaned to Witbank Spurs and they brought him and left for Europe.”
