Chiefs’ Moleko expects tough clash against Maritzburg

Kgotso Moleko says Kaizer Chiefs need to be on the front foot from the first whistle when they host an unpredictable Maritzburg United.

Maritzburg, who are currently rooted at the bottom of the Absa Premiership table, have seen somewhat of a resurgence since Eric Tinkler’s appointment as the head coach at the end of January.

“It won’t be an easy game because they are fighting for their lives. They will be gunning for the win, but we will have to show them that we want it more,” Moleko told the club’s website.

Unlike his teammate Ramahlwe Mphahlele, Moleko is refusing to concede on the chase for the league title.

Mphahlele said to the media on Thursday that Chiefs are out of league title race.

“It will be difficult for us to catch the teams above us on the log, but anything can happen in the eight games still left to play. We’re still in it mathematically and – for now – our focus is on the Maritzburg United and SuperSport United matches before the Fifa break,” concluded Moleko.
