Majavu further revealed that Chiefs pleaded guilty with the charges against them after a sitting with the PSL DC on Friday morning.
Amakhosi have also been fined R10 000, which will be suspended for 24 months in condition that they do not commit the same offence again.
“I can confirm that earlier this morning, Kaizer Chiefs Football Club as well as their player Mr Dithejane, appeared before the PSL DC to answer to charges of fielding a suspended player in the form of Mr Dithejane for participating in a match when he was not eligible to do so. Both of them pleaded guilty of the charge and were subsequently convicted accordingly by the DC,” said Majavu.
