Chiefs duo’s advice to Bafana ahead of Ethiopia clash

Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune striker Bernard Parker have offered advice to Bafana Bafana ahead of their crucial double header World Cup qualifiers against Ethiopia.

Bafana play Ethiopia away in Bahir Dar on Saturday before hosting the Ethiopians in Johannesburg on Tuesday.
Khune and Parker featured for Bafana when they last faced Ethiopia in a 2014 World Cup qualifier, a game South Africa lost 2-1.
“They will get a positive result and leave with a smile on their faces. To the guys who have been selected, I wish them everything of the best and they must enjoy representing the nation. Never look back and regret while you can grab the opportunity to play for your country and give your all,” said Khune as quoted by the Chiefs website.
“We have to respect the badge and the people of the country. So when we get a call up, we must give our all for the country, the people and the flag,” added Khune.
Parker urged Bafana to be clinical in dead ball situations.
“We are dangerous from set piece situations and when we get them, we need to make them count for us,” said Parker.
“We need to target to get six points from these games. I think if we can come out with four points, it will be good because then all the pressure is on Zimbabwe and Ghana going into the last two games,” added Parker.
Bafana Bafana will be looking get positive results against Ethiopia to remain on top of Group G at the end of the current round of fixtures ahead of Ethiopia, Ghana and Zimbabwe.
