Chiefs assistant coach confirms Malawi job offer
Kaizer Chiefs assistant coach Patrick Mabedi has confirmed that the Malawian national team has made him an offer to join their technical team.
If he accepts the offer, Mabedi will return to the Flames as coach Ronny Van Geneugden’s assistant.
“Yes they made me an offer and it was a good offer but I can’t talk about it because I am still contracted to Kaizer Chiefs. I am the assistant coach at Kaizer Chiefs. The reports are incorrect, I am not with the national team. I am contracted with Chiefs like I told you,” Mabedi told Phakaaathi.
Mabedi joined Chiefs at the beginning of the season as Steve Komphela’s assistant, following the release of controversial Ghanaian defender John Paintsil, who was Komphela’s assistant the previous season.
