Chiefs appeal PSL decision

Chiefs were handed them a three-match ban behind closed doors (with one of those matches suspended provided that they don’t commit the same offence in the period of 24 months).

This was after their fans ran riot at Moses Mabhida Stadium after Chiefs lost 2-0 to Free State Stars in the Nedbank Cup semi final on April 21.

Cheifs football manager Bobby Motaung told Independent Media that they have appealed the decision.

“We are waiting for the PSL to come back us.

“For now, we can’t be encouraging fans to buy tickets for our clash against Polokwane City. There’s an appeal process and we have to wait for that process to take place,” Motaung said.

Amakhosi are scheduled to face Polokwane City at Moses Mabhida on October 6.

It remains to be seen if fans will be allowed into the venue to watch the game.
