Chiefs announce new partnership with Toyota

The Japanese car manufacturer replaces Nissan as Chiefs’ car partner.

“We couldn’t have chosen a better car sponsor than Toyota because they have a very large car manufacturing footprint in the country‚ and they are one of the biggest car manufacturers in the world,” said Chiefs chairperson Kaizer Motaung at an event to announce the partnership in Naturena on Wednesday.

“This partnership will give us wing to reach every part of this country. It will allow us to give means of transport to travel countrywide. It’s also assisting us in our development because we do spend a lot of money for transport.

“We have been hiring cars from Avis to use as transport. We must have been spending plus-minus R3 million a year on that. And because of the availability of these cars, we’ll be able to send our scouts to various parts of the country to speak to our satellite scouts.”

”We are delighted to establish a relationship with Toyota and look forward to a prosperous and mutually beneficial partnership.”

Kaizer Chiefs and Toyota have allocated 250 free and secure parking bays for Toyota vehicle drivers attending Kaizer Chiefs home matches at the FNB Stadium.
