Chiefs and Wits coaches slam goal-shy sides

Ryan Moon and Lehlohonolo Majoro netted for Chiefs and Wits respectively with superbly-taken headers, but both sides had chances to score further goals. There was, in particular, a flurry of goalmouth action late on, when substitutes Siphelele Ntshangase and Leonardo Castro could have won it for Chiefs, while Willard Katsande was inches away from scoring an own goal the other end, and right at the death, Itumeleng Khune denied Thabang Monare.

“It is crazy, I have been happy with our performances the whole season, but this is why we are where we are, because of missed opportunities,” said Hunt.

“We defended crosses poorly and in instances had terrible lapses of concentration,” said Komphela.
