Chiefs goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi says Amakhosi will work very hard to ensure that they get a trophy this season and TKO offers them that opportunity.
“It has been a long time since we last won a trophy and the talk in training is that we have to give our fans something this season,” said the Chiefs shot-stopper.
“We have been working very hard since the season started and I believe that we will do well in this competition.”
Meanwhile, Bucs midfielder Xola Mlambo says it will be difficult to face Stellenbosch twice, with the sides set to meet in a league encounter , but promises that they will do everything they can to do well in this competition especially after losing the final last campaign.
“We will be playing the same team twice in two weeks; it is not going to be easy to play the same opponents twice in two weeks,” said the midfielder.
“We come into this match with nothing to lose, we are wounded from last season’s result. So, we definitely have to give everything we have to turn around the situation.”
The competition will start after the international break on the weekend of October 19.
