The ABC Motsepe League side reached out to Chabangu and offered him a contract after reports emerged that the former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder was struggling to put food on the table.
Chabangu was photographed holding a beer looking dirty a few months ago and Baberwa boss Joe Seanego promised to help him by offering him a contract and he kept his promise.
“It’s a good feeling to come back and play football,” Chabangu told SundayWorld.
“I’m too much committed because they gave me the chance that no one wanted to give me. So I have to show my gratefulness. The environment is very good and they have a lot of quality players. We’ve got a lot to offer this time.”
The 33-year-old is confident he will make a telling contribution to the team, saying playing football comes naturally to him.
