Celtic trio sign new deals

Tignyemb has extended his Celtic stay until 2021, while Letlabika and Phalane have committed themselves to the club until 2019 and 2020 respectively.

Negotiations with Alfred Ndengane, who still has a contract till 2019, are continuing.

Celtic MD Rali Ramabodu says he is delighted to see senior experienced players committing to long-term contracts.

“The seriousness shown by these players together with their representatives into committing to the team is commendable,” Ramabodu told the club’s website.

“Our vision is to ultimately compete with the best and winning trophies must be a prerequisite, however, achieving all this needs a solid, experienced and magnificently blended squad, hence the extensions given to the respective players.

“The team must have its own players to rely on, rather than loaning from other teams. We are extremely delighted to see senior experienced players committing in long-term contracts which shows that we are moving in the right direction. We have learned our lesson; hence we are negotiating with players while still having contracts with them,” he added.

“By virtue of signing lengthy contracts, these players are securing their own future, and that serves both parties right. Eventually, the brand will grow bigger and supporters will support the players that have commitment towards their own team. Our main aim is to reward supporters for their authentic way of supporting the team,” concluded Ramabodu.
