Players downed tools after the club failed to pay monies due to players for singing with the club.
This is not the first time Celtic runs into financial trouble in the last three seasons.
“Like I told you, the strike went on, but we had a meeting with the management and it was confirmed that every player has now been paid. We are happy and focused on the next match,” an unnamed player from the club told The Sowetan.
Several players from Celtic have confirmed to Sowetan that they have returned to training and are happy at the club.
