Celtic looking to reclaim Macufe Cup

Siwelele and Amakhosi are set to meet at the annual soccer event at the Free State Stadium.

Bloemfontein Celtic goalkeeper Patrick Tignyemb is confident that Siwelele will beat Kaizer Chiefs on Sunday and reclaim the Macufe Cup.

Siwelele and Amakhosi are set to meet at the annual soccer event at the Free State Stadium at 3pm.

“We will gladly welcome our visitors to the City of Roses and subsequently show them respect, however, this year, the trophy belongs to us,” Tignyemb told the Celtic website.

“The competition affords even fringe players the chance to showcase their talent but ultimately Celtic will be crowned champions, we will reclaim what belongs to us.”

Chiefs are the defending champions of the competition, having won it last year.

Ironically, it was coach Steve Komphela who led Amakhosi to victory over Celtic last year and now Komphela will be looking to win the cup for Siwelele this year.
