According to the Sunday World, Chiefs are set to release striker Leonardo Castro and defender Teenage Hadebe to free up foreign spots in the club.
Chiefs currently have seven foreigners in the team after the club signed Lazarous Kambole, Samir Nurkovi and James Kotei.
According to the Premier Soccer League rules, each club is allowed a maximum of five foreigners and therefore Chiefs have to release two in order to meet that
“It’s Castro and Hadebe who are going to be sacrificed,” a source told SundayWorld.
“Teenage has not reported back as he was at Afcon (with his national team Zimbabwe), but he’s expected back at the village on Wednesday,” said the source.
“You remember that it’s him (Hadebe) who cost Chiefs in the Nedbank Cup final against TS Galaxy, that penalty was conceded by him. That mistake put him in the bad books.”
