Pienaar, who was released by Bidvest Wits this month, was spotted attending a City game, raising speculation that he could be joining Benni McCarthy’s side. However, Manousakis denies that could be the case.

“Absolutely zero [chances of Pienaar joining City]. Unless the chairman and Benni are operating to do something, I know nothing about. I can’t see it happening,” Manousakis told TSN Express.
There are rumours that City want to sign former Orlando Pirates striker Tokelo Rantie.
Manousakis could not confirm City’s interest in Rantie. He did, however, confirm that the club is looking to sign two more offensive players before the January transfer window close.

“We’re looking at two more offensive players that can play in the top four positions, out wide, up at the top, possibly a number 10, which is something we are lacking to change gears and kill off games,” commented Manousakis.
Rantie is said to have fallen out of favour at Turkish outfit Genglerbirligi and is looking to return home to play in the Absa Premiership.
