Bucs’ midfield search
Orlando Pirates are said to be looking for a central midfielder in the mould of John Moeti or Andile Jali as they look to rebuild the team next season.
A source close to the club has revealed that with the new coach looking to use two central holding midfielders, the team will look for someone to complement Issa Sarr.
“We don’t know what is going to happen for now but the coach believes in playing two central midfielders and it is a style Pirates used under Rudi Krol. It was hugely successful with Oupa Manyisa and Jali starring in that role. I think now they are waiting for the coach to settle so he can give them a profile of the players he needs so the scouting can begin,” said the source.
