Brockie sets goal target

SuperSport United striker Jeremy Brockie wants to score 20 goals in the upcoming season.

Brockie scored nine goals in all competitions in the 2016/2017 season, taking the number of goals scored, since arriving in South Africa back in January 2014 to 38 goals.

“Before I came to South Africa I had never won a trophy as a professional player. But now I have won two trophies [Nedbank Cups] and that shows that I am growing as a player,” Brockie told Sowetan.

“Now I strive for 20 goals in the league and win the Golden Boot prize, that has been my goal since I arrived here [in 2014] and I trust that it is time now [to achieve that],”.

The New Zealander scored a brace to help United overpower Gabonese side Mounana in the Caf Confederation Cup over the weekend to reach the quarterfinals of the competition.
