Boos improve my game – Sibusiso Vilakazi
Sibusiso Vilakazi says instead of bringing him down, the boos from the crowd make him take his game to another level.

The Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder was on the receiving end of boos from the Masandawana faithful in their last game against Golden Arrows earlier this week. Though Downs did win the match 1-0, it could have been more had “Vila” and the likes of Percy Tau and Themba Zwane taken their chances.

For “Vila”, boos and gestures calling for his substitution has the opposite effect on him.
“For me it is vice versa. Boos are positive sometimes,” he said.
“I like a challenge because if you give me the boos then it means I have to do much better, but at the same time you can’t make everyone happy. When you are inside that field of play, you just switch off and you are in a different zone which is focusing what you can improve at that time.
“For me, boos are a motivation, I find it very interesting. At the moment you are in the zone and you have to make a decision on what to do and you play what you see. What they (fans) see from the stands is different from what you see inside the pitch,” he added.
