Billiat, who joined Amakhosi at the start of last season from Sundowns on a free transfer, was linked with a return to the Brazilians during the August transfer period, but that move never materialised.

According to Ngobeni, Billiat turned down the Sundowns offer because he was happy at Amakhosi.
“Sundowns never approached me but they approached Chiefs. The player stated clearly that he had no intention of leaving Chiefs because he still wants to win something (with the team),” Ngobeni told IOL.
“You know I’ve been making it clear that Khama is not going anywhere. Khama is happy at Chiefs and he still wants to win trophies with the club and that’s why he decided to stay,” Ngobeni explained.
