Billiat doubtful for Arrows game after car accident

Kaizer Chiefs forward Khama Billiat is set to undergo a late fitness test to determine his readiness for tonight’s clash against Golden Arrows.

Billiat was involved in a car accident this past weekend while driving in Midrand on Sunday, just a day after leading his team to a 4-2 win over Chippa United in the Nedbank Cup semi-finals in Port Elizabeth.

Chiefs communications manager Vina Maphosa confirmed to Phakaaathi that the Zimbabwean international was unharmed and no other car was involved in the accident.

Maphosa, however, could not say if whether or not Billiat would be available for tonight’s league clash against Golden Arrows at the FNB Stadium.

“There are injuries, there was no other person or car, it was just his car (that got into an accident),” Maphosa told Phakaaathi. “The accident was caused by a tyre burst while he was driving on Sunday.”
