Bafana Bafana coach Stuart Baxter has confirmed that Itumeleng Khune was back at training with his Kaizer Chiefs teammates.

Khune has been nursing a shoulder injury and his return to training should come as a welcome boost for not only Chiefs, but for Bafana as well ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
“Khune is training fully (at Chiefs) and it’s now a matter of being match fit‚” Baxter was quoted as saying by TimesLIVE.
Baxter, however, says Khune will need to regain his match fitness before he considers him for the Afcon squad.
“He will have to play games before we could consider him. But I will be in contact obviously‚ through Lee and through Chiefs to monitor his progress from here until the end of the season. But I don’t see him now close to playing any games yet‚ but obviously we need that to happen.”
