Reactions: Benni misses out on Pirates job

McCarthy was widely expected to land the job, but the Pirates chairman caught everyone by surprise when he announced Kjell Jonevret as the new Bucs coach.

Following the announcement, Pirates fans took to Twitter to voice their opinions about the appointment.

While some accepted the new appointment, some felt that McCarthy should have been given the chance to steer the Bucs ship.

Although we expected Bennie to be appointed as a coach he only have qualifications but no experience Kjell Jonevret is a right man
