Joel Untersee is a 23-year-old who is on the books of Italian giants Juventus.
The Roodepoort-born spent last season on loan at Serie B club Brescia. He has since returned to his original club to join them for preseason training.
The former Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport United mentor is on a mission to strengthen the national team ahead of the Africa Cup on Nations and World Cup qualifiers scheduled to take place later this year.
Untersee was born in Johannesburg and has South African citizenship, but he has represented Switzerland, which means he has to apply to Fifa to be able to play for Bafana.
Baxter will make a stop in Portugal and Norway to see other players he could have in his squad as he continues his assessment of players to feature in the Bafana Bafana squad.
