Jordaan has revealed that he spoke to Baxter after it was reported that the Englishman would step down should South Africa fail to qualify for the Afcon.
Jordaan says Baxter has denied these reports.
“I am not interested in that, we must go and beat Libya and qualify. You can’t say I am going to pass I am sure I am going to pass but if I don’t I am going to drop out,” Jordaan told TimesLive.
“I asked him he denies having said that, he says no it’s the media against coming with a story, he blamed you guys. He said I have a good squad I, I have confidence in the squad and I will go there and qualify.”
