Siyavutha are coached by Themba Mafu who is also owner and club chairman. It is the same at Ezenkosi where Jomo Sono is both owner and coach.
Ezenkosi will be favourites to win this as they have found their rhythm and have gone five matches without a defeat – winning four and drawing one in the last five matches. Mjomane’s side made it clear they want promotion when they beat Siyavutha’s neighbours Mbombela United 4-1 last weekend.
Royal Eagles v Black Leopards, Harry Gwala Stadium, 3.30pm
Coming from a taxing 2-2 draw against Tshakuma Tsha Madzivhandila last weekend, Eagles will be hoping to build on their performance and get a positive result against another Limpopo opponent in Lidoda Duvha. Things have not been easy for either side and this could be a laborious match.
Ubuntu CT v Cape Town All Stars, Athlone Stadium, 3.30pm
Ubuntu will be in high spirits after an amazing 4-1 win over Mthatha Bucks last weekend which must have boosted the side’s confidence ahead of this Cape Town derby. Igugu leKapa have been struggling to get into rhythm leading to the firing of two coaches in a month.
Richards Bay v Highlands Park, Umhlathuze Sports Complex, 3.30pm
This is a match of two teams who have their backs against the wall. The Rich Boys have to get off the bottom of the league and a win against the leaders could just be what they need to turn things around. The Lions of the North will be looking to secure all points to ensure they keep their position at the summit.
University of Pretoria v Tshakuma, Tuks Stadium, 3.30pm
With a chance to jump to the top, AmaTuks will be looking to collect all three points at home. But in Tshakuma they meet a team who have proved to excel in against the top sides in this division.
Witbank Spurs v Jomo Cosmos, Puma Rugby Stadium, 3.30pm
As mentioned above, this is the game of the weekend. Both are in the running for promotion. A win for Cosmos could catapult them to the top depending on how AmaTuks and the Lions of the North fare.
Sunday
Mbombela United v Mthatha Bucks, Kanyamazane Stadium, 3.30pm
What happens when two wounded lions meet? The answer will be in what happens in this match. Both come from heavy defeats and will be looking bounce back into positive frames. Both lost 4-1 last weekend.
Uthongathi v Real Kings, King Zwelithini Stadium, 3.30pm
The Cane Cutters have been like a car stuck in mud, the wheels are rolling but not moving anywhere. The NFD newboys have been displaying some good football but the result have not been favourable. Kings have also been showing signs of being a team capable of doing better but have not lived up to the expectation.
