Vries joined Baroka at the start of the 2017/18 season from Maritzburg United.
He became the club’s first choice goalkeeper, relegating Oscarine Masuluke to the bench, but did not do enough to cement his place in the team.
The arrival of Zimbabwean goalkeeper Elvis Chipezeze prompted the termination of Vries’ contract.
