The last couple of months have seen Kgatlana collect multiple awards including UWC Player of the Year, Safa Cape Town Women Player of the Year, USSA Football Player of the Tournament and top scorer and the Cosafa Player of the Tournament awards.
And now on Monday, the Banyana star made it to the list of the final three finalists for the Caf African Women Player of the Year award.
“It is a huge blessing for me, it is through hard work and determination as well as doing what you love. I never saw this coming so early in my career, but I guess it all goes down to the hard work that one puts in,” said Kgatlana.
Kgatla will contest for the award against Nigeria’s Asisat Oshoala and Gabrielle Onguene of Cameroon.
Meanwhile, Banyana Banyana have made the final list for the Caf national Team of the Year award and will be going up against Nigeria and Ghana’s Under-20 teams.
