Jane, who has been handed the armband in the absence of Janine van Wyk will be looking to guide Banyana to their fourth Cosafa Cup title.
“Everything has been on track since we got here on Monday, everyone is happy in the team and we are looking forward to the game against Lesotho,” said Jane.
“We are focussing on ourselves and combining as a team because we are a completely new team. We have to gel together as a team and make sure that when we play our first game we are ready. We are not worried about Lesotho but ourselves.”
The midfielder says it is important for them to win their first match, adding that the group, which also consists of Namibia and Botswana is not as easy.
“Once you win your first match you get an upper hand against other teams. So we want to win our first game so that we can ease up the pressure,” she added.
“People will say it is an easy group, but we are not taking it lightly because when teams come to the tournament they want to win, plus we haven’t played them in a while. We are not expecting any easy encounters in the group. We will take each game as it comes and make sure that we perform at our best.”
