Bafana striker wants to keep on improving

Bafana Bafana and Lille FC forward Lebo Mothiba says he sees a lot of improvement in his game since returning to the club.

Mothiba, who joined Lille back in 2014 spent 2017 on loan at Ligue 2 side Valenciennes, where he says he gained confidence and has helped him settle well back in his team.

“Before going back to Lille I went to play in Ligue 2, just to gain some confidence. I can see that I have improved, but I want to improve more because Ligue 1 is very difficult, it is fast and aggressive. But I think I have improved in terms of my movement, asking for the ball and how to keep the ball,” said Mothiba.

The Lille striker is currently in Zambia with Bafana where they are taking part in the four nations tournament alongside the hosts, Angola and Zimbabwe.

Mothiba was in the score-sheet when Stuart Baxter’s charges played to a 1-1 draw with Angola in the first game, before winning 6-5 on penalties.

Bafana will clash with Zambia in the final on Saturday.
