AmaZulu coach and player in training ground bust-up

According to a source quoted by the Daily Sun, the striker didn’t like it when Johnson asked him to pull up his socks at training and that led to a quarrel between the two.

“The coach was not happy with Manzini’s commitment at training, as he dragged his feet instead of working hard like the rest of the players. Manzini retaliated when Johnson told him to pull up his socks if he still wanted to play for his team, then a squabble ensued,” the source was quoted by SunSports.

“It makes Manzini unhappy that there is no longer a regular because Johnson prefers the youth ahead of him. The coach and Manzini also had a falling out while they were still employed by Platinum Stars.

“Johnson asked Manzini to stay with Dikwena instead of joining Chippa United back then but the player refused, as he had made up his mind. But their relationship was not the same when they reunited in Durban at the start of the season.”
