AmaZulu have confirmed the appointment of Jozef Vukusic as their new coach.

The former Polokwane City coach replaces Cavin Johnson who was sacked by Usuthu on Monday afternoon.
Vukusic’s agent Ratshibvumo Mulovhedzi confirmed to Phakaaathi that the Slovakian coach has joined Usuthu.
“Yes, it’s true that Jozef is back in the country and has signed for AmaZulu. The deal was concluded last night.
“When you called me earlier, AmaZulu had not contacted me hence I said it’s not true. It’s a three-year deal and we’re happy with the deal,” said Mulovhedzi.
Prior to joining AmaZulu, Vukusic was linked with Chippa United, Maritzburg United and Stellenbosch FC. Phakaaathi was also made aware of an interest from Kaizer Chiefs.
Mulovhedzi confirmed the interest in Vukusic, but refused to name the teams that were interested in his client.
“Yes,there was interest in him, including one of the biggest teams in the PSL but I can’t mention the team names. But what I can say is that AmaZulu beat every offer that was on the table and that showed that they really wanted him, so we accepted their offer,” commented Mulovhedzi.
AmaZulu also confirmed Vukusic’s capture on Wednesday morning.
“We wish to welcome Jozef Vukusic who will take over as Head Coach with immediate effect. The 55 year old Slovakian born coach is due to arrive in Durban this afternoon and be introduced to team on Thursday morning,” read a club statement.
