Nkosingiphile Ngcobo is keen on taking his Multichoice Diski Challenge form for Kaizer Chiefs to the national Under-20 team as they prepare for the Caf Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Niger next month.
The young Amakhosi midfielder has been on scintillating form for the Chiefs reserves and scored a brace in the team’s 4-2 victory over Baroka FC this past weekend.
“I am happy with the way I have been playing and scoring two goals against Baroka really boosted my confidence. I want to be a regular goalscorer that is why I like to take shots when I get a chance,” said Ngcobo.
“I would like to keep on doing well and especially now in the national team because we are preparing for a big tournament. Training has been going well and I can see that everyone in the team wants to make sure that their name is on the final list that will travel to Niger.”
The team has been training at the Nike Centre in Soweto, but they will now take the camp to Nelspruit where they are expecting to play a couple of friendly games before departing to Niger.
The tournament will be played between February 2 and February 17.
