Thabo Senong is preparing his Amajita team for their upcoming 2019 Caf U20 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Amajita celebrate a goal
The squad is currently on camp ahead of their match against the winner between Mozambique and Seychelles on May 11.
Amajita had a prosperous 2017 season where they came fourth in the Africa Under-20 Cup of Nations, qualified for the 2017 FIFA World Cup in Korea, won the Cosafa Under-20 Championship, while most of the players debuted for the club’s senior teams and are now regulars in their respective team’s starting lineups.
The likes of SuperSport United duo Teboho Mokoena and Sipho Mbule, as well as Wiseman Meyiwa, are some of the players that did duty for the Under-20 side in Korea.
The 2019 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations will be hosted by Niger from February 24 until March 10 2019.
