Amajita coach Thabo Senong has a clean bill of health in his squad, a healthy headache on who to select or leave out as all players are available for selection.
Amajita held their only training session since arriving in Kitwe on Wednesday morning and the technical team concentrated on set plays.
“We are happy with how the players have responded to the conditions we faced in training today. After last night’s heavy rains, the pitch was not in the greatest of conditions but we expected this problem,” said Senong.
“All players are fit and are fighting for a spot in the starting eleven, so once again we as the technical staff have to make some hard decisions.
“Many of the players will be receiving their first caps and this is, of course, great for the development of our team, as we are building towards something bigger within the next two years.”
After playing Mauritius, South Africa turn their focus on Mozambique on Saturday before concluding their group B matches against Egypt on December 12. All three matches will be played in Kitwe, Zambia.
