Amajimbos striker dreams of Chiefs move

South African under-17 striker Junior Nare has revealed his ambition of playing for Kaizer Chiefs one day.

Nare scored a brace in Amajimbos’ 3-2 loss to Zambia in the Cosafa Under-17 Championship Group B clash on Sunday.

“I would love to play for Kaizer Chiefs, make a huge mark and hopefully move abroad to the English Premier League,” Nare told Safa.net

“I want to become one of the greatest footballers in South Africa who will ensure that we represent the country with pride at a Fifa World Cup.”

The Alexander Black Aces youngster thanked his family for investing in him and making him a better player.

“I am humbled, and I see the results in the hard work my family has invested in me. It’s a nice feeling to know that I played a role in putting a smile on people’s faces [by scoring those two goals].

“I think that there are some top teams in this tournament with a lot of quality players. They provide good competition and help me grow as a player.”
