Al Ahly push for Gamal’s release from Wits

Egyptian club Al Ahly are trying to speed up Amr Gamal's move to Finnish outfit HJK Helsinki.

Gamal is currently on a season long loan deal with the Absa Premiership champions Bidvest Wits.

The Egyptian international is trying to move away from Wits in order to get game time before the start of the World Cup.

“We’re helping Amr Gamal to complete his move to HJK Helsinki,” Al Ahly’s head of transfers committee Adly El-Qeiy told Kingfut.

“He expressed his dissatisfaction to his manager which created a gap between the two and led to his exclusion, that’s why he wants to leave to be able to join the Egyptian national team.”

“Helsinki want to sign Gamal with an option to buy and are willing to pay the needed fees when they decide to permanently sign him,” he added.

“The competition in Finland starts in March, we don’t have a problem to postpone his return to the club to August.”

“That’s a technical topic that Sayed Abdel-Hafiz can talk about better,” he said. “But why would he come back? Did he fail?”
