AmaZulu coach keen on Zimbabwe return

AmaZulu coach Joey Antipas has dismissed reports he was approached to mentor the Zimbabwean national team.

Antipas was expected to return to coaching Warriors after Zimbabwean Football Association (Zifa) didn’t renew Kalisto Pasuwa’s contract.

Zifa is set to announce Pasuwa’s successor ahead of the upcoming 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifiers that start in June 2017.

“I know nothing, I have heard nothing and I say nothing,” Antipas told Zimbabwean publication, The Herald.

“Who is linking me the Warriors job? its news to me,” the two-time Zimbabwean Premier Soccer League (ZPSL) title winning coach continued.

“[But] Zimbabwe is my home and if offered, it would depend on some issues.”
