Jordaan speaks on Ntseki’s salary
South Africa Football Association (Safa) president Danny Jordaan slammed reports around coach Molefi Ntseki’s salary.

Jordaan was annoyed by speculation that Safa hired a local coach to save money. The Safa president made it clear that hiring a local coach was not cheap.
Ntseki was appointed after coach Stuart Baxter resigned from his position as Bafana Bafana head coach. Ntseki has served as an assistant to several coaches in the South Africa national team before he was given a chance to lead.
Jordaan said speaking on salaries was disrespectful to the association and the coaches involved.
“What’s wrong with you?” Jordaan told Independent Media.
“Every time we appoint a white coach, you are quiet. Every time we appoint a black coach, you come with the notion of a cheap coach.
“Do you know that Shakes Mashaba earned more than Gordon Igesund [as Bafana Bafana coach], but he had to contend with what was said about him?
“Who gives you these ideas? No! No, we must not insult these black coaches. Why didn’t you say that cricket coach [Enoch Nkwe] is a cheap coach? Do you know how much he earns? Or whether the coach before him (Ottis Gibson) earned more?”
