Ex-PSL referee speaks on disallowed goal in TKO final
Former PSL referee Charl Theron has applauded the linesman who raised his flag to disallow Maritzburg United striker Judas Moseamedi’s goal in the Telkom Knockout final.

After viewing the goal from different angles, Theron believes the striker was offside when he received the ball before putting it in the back of the net.
“From what I can see it was certainly an offside for the simple reason that the blue attacker’s leg was in front of the second-last defender when he received the ball,” Theron told SAFM.
“That was definitely an offside, whoever says it’s not offside doesn’t understand the Fifa rules. Give that linesman a Bell’s, he did it without VAR. The correct angle is the one perpendicular to the assistant ref,” added the retired referee.
